What the contact form collects, what the site stores in your browser, and how to have any of it removed.

StudioBlack is a design review platform that organisations are invited into. This notice is about the public website — the pages you are reading now and the contact form on them. If you already work inside an organisation on the platform, the agreement between that organisation and us governs the project data held there, not this page.
When you send a message through the contact form, this is everything we receive and keep:
We do not keep your IP address itself. The hash cannot be turned back into an address, and it is there for one reason: if a flood of messages arrives, it lets us see afterwards that they came from one place.
The form also carries a hidden field that no person ever sees. If it comes back filled in, we treat the message as automated and nothing is stored.
To read your message and answer it. That is the only use. We do not sell it, we do not add you to a mailing list, and we do not hand it to anyone else to use for their own purposes.
The message is written to our own database and a notification is emailed to the studio's inbox so that a person reads it. The people who see it are the people who work here.
It passes through the services that run the site — our database and hosting, our email delivery provider, and our analytics provider. They process it on our behalf.
Whatever that period turns out to be, you can ask us to delete your message before it — see below — and we will.
The public pages keep very little in your browser:
The public pages load PostHog, and it runs for everyone, not only for signed-in users. It records page views, when you leave a page, page performance measurements and JavaScript errors, along with the technical details any browser sends with a request. It stores its own identifier in your browser so repeat visits can be counted as one visitor rather than several.
Those requests go to a path on our own domain and are forwarded from there, so a blocker will not usually stop them. No profile is built for an anonymous visitor — a profile is only created once someone signs in to the platform.
Write to support@studioblack.app and tell us what you want done. We will find the enquiry by the address it came from and act on it. You do not need a form, and you do not need to give a reason.
Messages are stored in our production database, reachable by the application and by the people here who administer it. Traffic to and from the site is encrypted in transit. No system is perfect and we will not claim otherwise; if something goes wrong with data you sent us, we would rather tell you than not.
If what we collect changes, this page changes with it and the date at the top moves. The version you are reading is the one that applies — there is no separate archive.
Anything about this notice, or about a message you sent us: support@studioblack.app.
If anything here is unclear, ask us directly — a person will answer.
