Terms
The rules for using StudioBlack, in plain language and as short as we can honestly make them.
Last updated August 31, 2026
These terms cover the public website and the StudioBlack platform. They apply to you if you read these pages, and to your organisation if it uses the platform.
There is no sign-up. Accounts exist for organisations we have agreed to work with, and people join by an invitation sent to their email address. If you have not been invited, the contact form is the way in — nothing on this site creates an account by itself.
An account belongs to a person, not to a job title, and it should not be shared. If you think someone else has access to yours, tell us and we will close it. Whoever administers your organisation decides who is added, who is removed, and what each person can see.
While using the platform, do not:
We can suspend access that is being used this way. Where it is reasonable to do so first, we will say something before we do.
Drawings, documents, comments and everything else your organisation puts into the platform belong to your organisation. We claim no ownership of them. We hold and process them only so the service works — showing them to the people you have given access, keeping versions, sending notifications — and for nothing else.
The software, the interface and the name stay ours. Being given access to use them transfers none of it.
We run the service carefully, but we do not promise it will always be available. Maintenance, provider outages and plain faults happen. This page carries no uptime commitment.
We may also change how features work. Where a change removes something you rely on, we will try to give notice first.
An organisation can stop using the service at any time. We can end access where these terms are broken, or where the agreement behind the account has ended.
We may update this page. The date at the top says when it last changed, and continuing to use the service after a change means the new version applies.
